Peg 'n Awl

Peg ‘n Awl is a traditional American folk, hillbilly and mountain music duo leaning heavily on harmony singing styles from the late 1800s to the early 1950s. Whether singing old time traditional music or their own tunes, Kenny Roby and Amy Laber take a stripped-down instrumental approach on guitars and banjo and perform in a way that keeps the focus on the vocal styles of the Carter Family, Blue Sky Boys, Delmore Brothers, Callahan Brothers and many other duo and family harmony groups that dominated the southeastern US and Appalachian region music of their time.
